We are wearing our best sneakers to raise money for The Smith Family Dream Run

Our team members are joining forces to run and walk every day in June to raise much-needed funds to provide students with financial, personal and practical educational support.

Dream Run 2023 - PhoenixDX

In Australia, one in six children experiences disadvantages with no access to the learning essentials needed to succeed at school. When young people are financially disadvantaged, they can fall behind in education and learning. The Smith Family relies on fundraising activities, like The Dream Run, to help children achieve educational milestones.

Another reason we love The Dream Run is that it allows participants to choose their own pace. They can select the type and quantity of activity they want to commit to, making it a more inclusive community fundraising event – it’s not exclusive to the super fit. Our team members have chosen to walk or run 50-100 KM each in June, and many have already crossed their halfway point.

We are proud of our team, who signed up with little encouragement from management.

Our team are braving the cold, running in the rain and crawling to their treadmills at unholy hours to complete their challenge… and we’re so proud of their achievements. We have no doubt they will all reach their kilometre and fundraising goals.

“I’m taking part in the Dream Run to push my limits. Running 100km in one month would be a great personal achievement, and what better way to motivate me than by doing some good and supporting kids in need.” - Matt Holihan

“I had the privilege of growing up in a home with two loving parents, and now, having kids of my own, I better understand the impact of love and attention. Many kids don't have this privilege, and the least I can do is show them that someone out there gives a damn.” - Hanno Coetzee

"This is my second time doing The Smith Family Dream Run. I consider myself a newcomer in this beautiful country, and this is my way of giving back and saying thank you for what this country is offering me and my family. Small gestures that, when converted to series, can have a big impact." - John Salamat

At PhoenixDX, we care. We are proud to support The Smith Family and any organisation working with the most vulnerable people in our community.

In addition to participating in The Smith Family Dream Run, we donate 1% of our profits to The Smith Family and encourage all of our team to volunteer by providing an additional day of annual leave to work with a registered charity. We also contribute with software and staff time under our Corporate Social Responsibility program to accelerate digital initiatives in charities across Australia.

PhoenixDX Pledge 1%

As our dedicated team laces their sneakers and hits the pavement daily, we extend heartfelt thanks to all who have backed us thus far. We invite everyone to contribute, emphasising that even the smallest donation can have a significant impact. Donations can be made to the team or individuals.
